Governance renewal at Cantley Village Hall CIO

At this year’s AGM, on Monday, 11th May 2026, Cantley Village Hall CIO marked an important and positive step in its long-term development through a carefully managed Trustee transition.

Following many years of dedicated service — including some Trustees who have supported the Hall for more than 20 years — four Trustees stepped down from Board roles. Two completed their terms of office as part of our governance cycle, while two retired due to personal considerations.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to each of them for their commitment, service, and contribution to protecting and sustaining this vital community asset over many years.

As Cantley Village Hall moves into its next chapter — focused on delivering our new Village Hall and Community Hub vision — this transition represents positive succession planning, ensuring the organisation continues to evolve with the right blend of continuity, renewal, and future capacity.

We are delighted that one Trustee has renewed their commitment for a further three-year term, while three former Trustees have kindly agreed to continue supporting the charity as Ambassadors, preserving invaluable local knowledge and championing our work within the wider community.

This balanced approach reflects strong governance, responsible planning, and a shared commitment to securing the Hall’s future for generations to come.

Honouring the past. Strengthening the present. Building the future.
